Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 5 August 2026
These terms govern your use of StartupAPI (the "Service"), an independently operated developer platform providing prepaid digital API services. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. Account responsibility
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for all usage and charges incurred through your account.
2. Email verification
We may require you to verify your email address before using certain features. Verification helps us secure your account and deliver important account and billing notices.
3. API-key security
API keys are secrets that authorize requests and spend your prepaid service credits. Keep them confidential, never embed them in public code or client-side apps, and rotate or revoke them if exposed. You are responsible for usage and charges arising from your keys, including keys that are leaked or misused.
4. Prepaid service credits
The Service operates on prepaid service credits, added to your account after successful payment verification. Credits are not cash, a bank deposit, or transferable money, and carry no monetary or stored-value guarantee. They may be used only for supported services on StartupAPI.
5. Usage charging
Consumed usage is deducted from your prepaid service credits according to the current published rates. Charges are based on the usage you generate. When your credits are exhausted, requests stop cleanly until you add more. See our Pricing and Credits Disclosure.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and in compliance with the usage policies of the underlying third-party providers. You are responsible for the content of your requests and the use you make of any output.
7. Prohibited activities
- Reselling, sharing, or reverse-engineering the Service in violation of these terms or provider policies.
- Attempting to bypass rate limits, billing, authentication, or security controls.
- Using the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or infringing purposes.
- Generating content prohibited by applicable law or by the underlying provider policies.
8. Third-party provider dependency
The Service relies on third-party AI/API providers. Their availability, model behavior, pricing, and policies are outside our control and may change. Changes by a provider can affect the availability or behavior of the Service.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, suspected abuse or fraud, or where required by law or by a provider. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give notice.
10. Service availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StartupAPI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from third-party provider outages, misuse of your API keys, or use of model output. Our aggregate liability is limited to the value of the unused prepaid service credits in your account.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Delhi, India.
